CLAHub is currently a work in progress. You can read about its origins in my blog post CLAHub: Easy Contributor Agreements on GitHub. Here’s an excerpt:
CLAHub is a small side project I cooked up a few months ago, and just got
around to open-sourcing. The goal is to remove the friction of Contributor
License Agreements for contributors and maintainers alike. It’s not done
yet, but I’m curious to hear what people think.
There are several features that are not built, as of today 19 Jan 2013, including:
- Editing or revisioning of CLA text
- Support for distinct individual and entity CLAs
- Nice formatting (markdown or simple_format) for CLA text
- The ability for a maintainer to revoke a contributor signature
This means that it may not be appropriate for your project. Please take this into consideration before encouraging adoption by your team and contributors.
That said, the core functionality works and should be useful. I’d love for you to try it out give feedback!
If possible, please direct any feedback into a GitHub Issue. You can also reach out via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or on Twitter to @jayunit.
